Tips For Golf Swing: Keep Your Body Weight Balanced During Your Swing

best golf swing tipOne of the best tips for golf swing is to keep your body weight balanced between the balls and heels of your feet.

The reason why this is one of the best tips for golf swing is that if you move your body weight from the middle of your feet to the balls of your feet during your golf swing you will change the bottom-out point of your down swing and will not be able to hit a straight golf shot.

Similarly, if you move your body weight from the middle of your feet to the heels of your feet during your golf swing, you likewise will change the bottom-out point of your down swing and mishit your golf shot.

The same proposition applies if you move your body weight from the heels of your feet to either the middle or to the balls of your feet during your golf swing or, move the weight of your body from the balls of your feet to either the middle or to the heels of your feet.

In any such instances, the bottom-out point of your down swing will change and you will mishit your golf shot.

Much is made of the significance of  keeping a stable head position during your golf swing so that  your club face will bottom-out correctly during the down swing. However,  there has been very little focus on the importance of keeping your body weight balanced between the the balls and heels of your feet during  your golf swing.

Some golf swing instructions insist you should have more of your weight on the balls of your feet rather than balanced in the middle of your feet. They suggest this provides a better athletic plat form.

I do not take issue with this other than I believe it is more difficult to keep the weight more proportionately on the balls of your feet during your golf swing. I do not believe this is the best way toimprove your golf swing.

There seems to be a tendency to shift the body weight  from the balls of the feet to the middle of the feet during the golf swing in such an  instance. As a consequence the bottom-out point of the golf swing will change and a mishit golf shot will result.

You can keep your body weight balanced on the balls and heels of your feet and nonetheless shift more of your weight to the inside of you right foot on your back swing as you would need to do so in order to gain more distance with your clubs.

In doing so you would not change the distribution of your body weight between the balls and heels of your feet, you would merely have more of  it   distributed to your right foot.

If you want to hit the golf ball straight, concentrate on keeping your body weight between the balls and heels of your feet during your golf swing.
